We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team at Healthcare Services Group. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including texture-modified and therapeutic diets, following facility menus and applicable federal, state, and local standards.
- Assist in receiving, storing, preparing, serving, sanitizing, and cleaning procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Support the Dining Services Director and other employees as needed, and direct other employees with approval.
- Utilize protective gear and follow safety precautions when handling cleaning solutions and equipment.
- Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met, and follow infection control and universal precautions policies.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to follow instructions and perform routine tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; experience in food preparation a plus.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
