Job Summary: We are seeking a highly qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at OPELIKA CITY SCHOOLS. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for conducting screenings, evaluating and diagnosing speech and language disorders, developing and implementing individualized education plans, and collaborating with teachers to facilitate generalization of speech skills. Responsibilities:
  • Screen students to identify those who may need additional support with communication.
  • Evaluate students to determine if they have a speech or language disorder.
  • Develop individualized education plans to meet the unique needs of each student.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Valid Alabama teaching certificate in the grade level, subject area(s) assigned.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).

Working Conditions:
This position requires frequent standing, walking, and communicating with students, teachers, and parents. Occasionally, the employee may be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
