Job Title: Maintenance Superintendent

Perdue Foods is a leading provider of premium proteins, committed to innovation and growth. We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Superintendent to join our team in Georgetown.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Superintendent will be responsible for managing the maintenance team, ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance
  • Supervise and train maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve maintenance-related issues
  • Ensure compliance with USDA regulations and plant quality control standards
  • Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program to increase equipment reliability and reduce costs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a food processing or manufacturing environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Working Conditions

The Maintenance Superintendent will work in a dynamic environment with varying temperatures, humidity levels, and noise levels. The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and wear personal protective equipment.
