We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Worker CL1 to join our team at the University of Maine at Farmington. As a key member of our facilities services team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for our campus community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain assigned rooms and buildings, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Operate cleaning machines and equipment, ensuring efficient and effective use.
  • Perform facility set-ups and take-downs as directed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Monitor and maintain materials and supplies, reporting any issues or concerns to lead workers and supervisors.
  • Remove snow and ice from sidewalks and building entrances, utilizing equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Perform seasonal and regular maintenance tasks, adhering to safety procedures and protocols.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to work in adverse weather conditions, including snow and ice.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to perform manual cleaning and manual labor, including snow shoveling.
  • Ability to follow safety policies and procedures.
