Broadview at Purchase College is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents' living spaces.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and service interior villas, apartments, common spaces, kitchens, bathrooms, and other areas as assigned.
- Perform routine cleaning and related service work, including high and low dusting, damp wiping, and disinfecting.
- Arrange furniture in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Clean and polish mirrors, metal fixtures, and glass panels.
- Change linens, make beds, and dry mop or vacuum floors.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 1 year of proven experience in a healthcare or hospitality setting, preferably in an environmental services role.
- Ability to read and write.
- High School diploma or equivalent experience.
- The ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language.
- Motivation, energy, and a passion for serving others.
- Patience and sensitivity to others' needs, with the ability to work with community groups.
- Good communication skills (oral and written) and inter-department communication and teamwork skills.
- Lifts and carries up to 50 lbs. with assistance occasionally.
- Pushes and pulls up to 50 lbs. with assistance occasionally.
- Climbs, reaches, bends, and twists occasionally.
