Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced driver to join our team at Constructive Partnerships Unlimited. As a Transportation Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of clients from their point of departure to their final destination.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise passengers and ensure their safety while on board
  • Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
  • Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, and secure them in vehicles using seat belts and wheelchair securing equipment
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, and maintain them in good working condition
  • Handle special and emergency requests, including non-consumer related transportation
  • Attend staff meetings and submit required documentation
  • Assist in situations where consumer behaviors create a hazardous or unhealthy situation, and report incidents on designated forms
Requirements
  • NY/NJ/PA/CT C.D.L. Class B License with a passenger and air brake endorsement, or C.D.L. Class C with passenger endorsement
  • Minimum 3 years experience driving and at least 21 years of age
  • Acceptable drivers abstract, containing no more than a combination of 2 moving violations or accidents within the last three years
  • Basic map reading skills and working knowledge of 5 boroughs of NYC
  • Compliance with Article 19A of NYSDMV Traffic and Safety Laws
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with consumers, program personnel, parents, and caregivers. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
