Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team at Resilient Healthcare. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our physical therapists in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exercise Preparation: Prepare engaging exercises and activities to use during physical therapy sessions with patients, ensuring a safe and effective treatment plan.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide counseling and consultations for new patients, their family members, and caregivers, addressing their concerns and needs.
  • Goal Setting: Collaborate with physical therapists to set and achieve patient goals, identifying areas of progress and challenges.
  • Direct Patient Care: Assist physical therapists in direct patient care, following established plans of care and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Equipment Preparation: Prepare equipment and exam rooms, adhering to sterilization and safety procedures.
  • Documentation: Complete required documentation in a timely manner, maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Continuing Education: Attend continuing education courses and workshops to advance personal knowledge and skills within the field.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in computer software commonly used for documentation and report preparation.
  • Education: Associate degree in Physical Therapy required.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Demonstrates knowledge and adherence to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
  • Physical Demands: Physical endurance and ability to work primarily in a standing position, with the capacity to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrates a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, family members, or other staff members.
  • Attention to Detail: Accountability and attention to detail essential when handling and documenting important medical information.
