Job Summary

Amedisys Inc. is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Home Health PRN Weekend Registered Nurse. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes, working a flexible PRN schedule on weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, evaluations, and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Complete OASIS assessments timely and accurately, ensuring seamless continuity of patient care.
  • Provide skilled nursing care to patients in accordance with the plan of care and agency policies, promoting optimal health outcomes.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Initiate referrals as needed, ensuring patients receive the necessary support and services.
  • Teach patients and their families self-care techniques, empowering them to manage their health effectively.
Requirements
  • Current RN license, specific to the state(s) assigned to work.
  • One year of clinical experience as an RN, or approval by the VP of Clinical for less than one year of experience.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and liability insurance.
