Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in radiology and possess a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. You will be responsible for preparing patients for imaging procedures, positioning patients correctly, and maintaining accurate patient records.

Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed
  • Position patients correctly and adjust imaging equipment to optimal settings
  • Prevent unnecessary radiation exposure and take appropriate protection precautions
  • Calibrate imaging equipment and prepare results for physician review
  • Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in radiology
  • ARRT (R) National Certification
  • BLS and state-specific licensing when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
