UC Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our Same Day Surgery Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring excellent patient care, maintaining expeditious patient flow, and supervising nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership: Supervise staff assigned to your unit or center of excellence, demonstrate coaching and mentoring skills, and champion efficient throughput and capacity management.
- Resource Management: Demonstrate efficiency in the use of resources, identify operational needs, and participate in the new hire process, including shadowing, selection, and orientation.
- Performance Improvement/Regulatory Requirements: Ensure shift practice is in compliance with state and federal medical laws, enforce and maintain corporate compliance, and actively engage staff in departmental performance improvement activities.
- Clinical Resource and Competency: Maintain hospital-wide and department-specific nursing competencies, collaborate with the Department Educator, and promote the use of evidence-based practice.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required.
- Minimum of five years of clinical and progressive management experience in the area of clinical specialty.
- Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio.
- Recent Registered Nurse experience in SDS/PACU, required.
