Role Responsibilities:
This dual role encompasses both clinical and administrative duties. The Attending Physician will collaborate closely with the Regional Medical Director to enhance the delivery of healthcare services, ensuring alignment with the mission of AlignMed Partners to achieve outstanding clinical quality and efficiency.
The Medical Director will be accountable to both the Center Administrator and the Regional Medical Director, ensuring high standards of clinical care and operational efficiency within the facility. This partnership is essential for achieving optimal performance in quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Duties Include:
- Assuming full responsibility for patient care within the service.
- Adhering to the credentialing process established by AlignMed Partners.
- Conducting timely visits to assigned patients in accordance with company policies.
- Ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines and regulations.
- Maintaining comprehensive patient records, including history and physical examinations.
- Delivering exceptional care and serving as a role model for peers.
- Facilitating effective communication and coordination with local hospitals and healthcare institutions.
- Exhibiting compassion and professionalism to ensure high-quality service for all stakeholders.
Compliance and Training:
All Medical Directors must comply with applicable legal standards and internal policies, including participation in orientation and training programs. It is crucial to report any compliance concerns promptly and cooperate with audits and investigations.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess an M.D. or D.O. degree, with Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred. Specialization in Geriatrics and certification as a Medical Director (CMD) through AMDA are advantageous.
