SSM Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team as a Mammography Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography imaging services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Operate mammography equipment and perform various procedures to ensure accurate and high-quality images.
- Prepare and position patients for exams, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters.
- Explain procedures and educate patients about the importance of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
- Develop and evaluate images for technical quality, following radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
- Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS.
- Maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
- Associate's degree or graduate from a certificate program in radiologic technology.
- No experience required, but a strong foundation in radiography and mammography is preferred.
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
- ARRT-R Radiography and ARRT-M Mammography certifications from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Licensed Radiographer in the state of Wisconsin.
