About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Nurse to join our team at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs, CO.

Compensation:

$32.01 - $49.62 per hour, depending on relevant experience.

Job Description

This role involves providing direct patient care in a medical/physician office setting using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel and may precept student nurses and new hires.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program (if less than 3 years experience). Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant certification as determined at position level.
  • Minimum 6 months of nursing experience.
  • ACLS within 90 days of hire.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
