LPN Extern

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN Extern to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital. As an LPN Extern, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital setting, working closely with our experienced nursing staff to deliver exceptional care to our patients.

• Direct Patient Care: Deliver evidence-based care to patients as directed by physicians or RNs, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for our patients.
• Assist with Procedures: Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed by our nursing staff, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
• Document Patient Care: Document patient care in medical records in a timely and thorough manner, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
• Support Department Staff: Support department staff, students, and volunteers in delivering quality patient care, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.

• Education and Certification: Currently enrolled in school to obtain LPN with Fundamentals and some clinicals completed, and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required within 30 days of employment.
• Vocational School Graduate: Must be a graduate of a vocational school program.
