Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team at 1st Choice Heating & Cooling. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering top-notch service to our customers, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including cleaning, adjustment, and replacement of parts.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems and equipment, using your technical expertise to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance by tuning up furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, cleaning coils, air handling units, and calibrating heating and cooling systems, including boilers.
  • Improve air quality by recommending, installing or replacing, and maintaining IAQ systems to ensure optimal efficiency.
  • Repair, replace, and adjust vents and ductwork as needed, ensuring proper air balance.
  • Ensure proper drainage of condensation lines and removal of debris, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Respond to and complete emergency repairs in a timely and efficient manner, prioritizing customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain daily logs and records of maintenance activities, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Keep service truck clean and well-maintained, adhering to company standards.
  • Comply with appliance standards and Health and Safety regulations, upholding our commitment to excellence.
Requirements
  • Strong communication and critical thinking skills, enabling effective collaboration with customers and team members.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and installation of HVAC systems, with a solid understanding of technical principles.
  • Experience with smartphones and tablets, utilizing technology to enhance service delivery.
  • Willingness to work late hours and occasional weekends as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Enthusiasm for working with people and HVAC systems, showcasing a customer-centric approach.
  • Eagerness to learn and be receptive to feedback, embracing ongoing training and development.
