Job Summary

This is a PRN (Flexi) position at Altru Health, requiring a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols. The nurse will work Mondays/Wednesdays/Fridays between 4am-5pm, with no weekends and occasional holidays required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the dialysis unit
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on patient assessments
  • Coordinate patient care within the interdisciplinary team
  • Provide patient education to ensure safe discharge
  • Perform daily rounds to ensure quality customer service
  • Assess and intervene in patient symptoms of pain
  • Identify early warning signs of patient condition changes and respond accordingly
  • Report observations and reactions to the multidisciplinary team
  • Complete incident reports and submit them prior to shift completion
Certifications and Requirements
  • Registered Nurse license in Minnesota
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of start date
Physical and Working Conditions

This position requires frequent standing, walking, and reaching, with occasional sitting and stooping/bending. The nurse will work in an indoor environment with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures. The driving requirement for this position is infrequent.
