Job Summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL A Driver to join our team. As an End Dump Driver, you will be responsible for operating industrial-grade vehicles, following safety procedures, and delivering materials to designated sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate truck and on-board hydraulic systems to collect solid and/or liquid waste on assigned routes.
  • Ensure all waste is emptied out when dumping a load.
  • Provide accurate documentation and reports to supervisors.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports.
  • Communicate vehicle mechanical issues to mechanics and supervisors.
  • Maintain route quality standards and operate vehicles using prescribed techniques.
Requirements
  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • One year of satisfactory driving experience of Class A or B vehicles.
  • Satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
  • Ability to pass GFL Environmental written and road test evaluation.
Working Conditions
  • Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, and extreme weather conditions.
  • Work in outdoor environments up to 100% of the time.
  • Occasionally work in high precarious places.
  • Work in motor vehicle traffic conditions constantly.
Physical/Mental Demands
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, and smell.
  • Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds.
