About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Medical Stroke Overflow Unit at Christiana Hospital. This is a 35-bed inpatient unit located on the 5th floor, providing care to a wide range of patients with various diagnoses and ages.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care, excellent critical thinking and prioritization skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with stroke and other medical conditions
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor and manage patient's condition, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements
  • Current Delaware RN license or eligibility for Delaware RN license
  • 1-2 years of med/surg experience, with telemetry experience a plus
  • BSN preferred, with commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire
  • BLS required
