Role Responsibilities


As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role within the engineering team, collaborating across various departments to ensure a seamless experience for our customers while upholding the highest standards of security and availability.

Our team excels in delivering top-tier technology products and services in a rapidly changing environment where priorities can shift swiftly.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive technical expertise, spanning from front-end user interfaces to back-end systems and everything in between.

Key Duties:

  • Design, scope, and construct scalable, resilient distributed systems.
  • Develop product specifications and utilize your technical acumen to guide towards optimal solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional collaboration throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Lead design discussions and code evaluations with colleagues to enhance the quality of engineering across the organization.
  • Define, create, and maintain reusable application components and patterns from both business and technology perspectives.
  • Employ developer tools and various Azure services throughout the software development lifecycle (task management, source control, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication) to execute advanced-level Java application design, implementation, and maintenance activities with minimal supervision.
  • Mentor fellow engineers.
  • Regularly share best practices and enhance processes within and across teams.
Qualifications

  • Advanced programming proficiency in at least two modern languages such as Java, C++, Python, or C#, with a strong foundation in object-oriented design.
  • Demonstrated understanding of microservices architecture and extensible REST APIs.
  • Experience in architecting and designing both new and existing systems (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scalability).
  • Advanced knowledge of DevOps principles and Cloud Architecture.
  • Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like atmosphere.
  • Familiarity with developer tools throughout the software development lifecycle (task management, source control, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication).
  • In-depth understanding of computer science data structures and algorithms.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting capabilities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of monitoring concepts and tools.
  • Advanced understanding of security protocols and products.
Experience

  • 4+ years of software development experience within a Java framework (J2EE, web containers, and Java).
  • 3+ years of experience in architecture and design.
  • 3+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
  • 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.

Compensation

$76,185,000.00

The above annual salary range serves as a general guideline.

Multiple factors are considered to determine the final hourly rate/annual salary offered to the selected candidate.

Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location, as well as market and business considerations.
