We seek experienced and qualified nurses to fill a Travel RN position in Labor and Delivery at a Coos Bay, OR facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately assess patients and collect current symptoms, patient history, and consult with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Perform triage, considering both physical and psychosocial elements, and manage basic life support needs until the attending physician is available.
  • Initiate corrective action when monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology and record patients' current vital signs.
  • Work directly under physicians, assisting during exams, diagnostic testing, and treatments, and prepare and administer prescribed medications.
  • Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments and provide IV therapy, basic bedside care, and maintain proper supplies and equipment.
  • Work effectively with the healthcare team and initiate patient education plans, as prescribed by the physician.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery with current fetal heart monitoring.
  • OBIX and EPIC experience is highly preferred.
  • Profile Requirements: Resume, Skills checklist, Certifications, and License.

Certification Requirements:

  • BLS and NRP certifications.

State License Requirements:

  • Oregon state license.

Weekend and On-Call Requirements:

  • TBD.
