Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at SOLID Personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial facilities by performing maintenance and repair work on electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have experience with high-voltage electrical systems, including single-phase circuits, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for creating your own material lists and procuring materials for your daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair 480V electrical systems, including handling installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of single-phase circuits for industrial equipment, lighting, and machinery.
  • Inspect electrical components, including wiring, transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components, to ensure system integrity and safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot electrical failures, including diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning circuits, damaged wiring, faulty breakers, or equipment breakdowns.
  • Adhere to safety protocols when working with high-voltage systems, ensuring lockout/tagout procedures are used and OSHA standards are met.
  • Interpret technical drawings and schematics, including reading and interpreting electrical blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings for installation and maintenance.
  • Test electrical systems, using electrical testing tools like multimeters, clamp meters, and insulation testers to verify the safety and performance of electrical systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the longevity of electrical systems and avoid equipment downtime.
  • Document and report issues, keeping accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities, and communicating any issues or recommendations for system improvements.
  • Collaborate with other trades, working closely with other maintenance professionals (plumbers, HVAC technicians, etc.) to ensure efficient operation of the facility.
  • Update electrical systems, replacing or upgrading outdated electrical systems or components to meet current safety codes and improve energy efficiency.
  • Respond to emergency repairs, minimizing production downtime in the facility.
