Fund Accounting Leadership Role for Alternative Investment Funds

The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is a rapidly growing team seeking experienced professionals to join our Alternative Investment Funds team. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional customer service and administration servicing for our clients' assigned hedge and private equity funds.

  • We are looking for a skilled Fund Accounting Supervisor who will act as an intermediary between the funds and their investment managers, serving as the official record keeper for the funds.
  • As part of our team, you will train and supervise accounting analysts on systems, processing, procedures, and job responsibilities.
  • You will assist in managing a team environment that encourages self-motivation, organization, and drive to complete multiple client deliverables in a timely manner without sacrificing excellence or quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing and maintaining timely records for hedge and private equity holdings using various external pricing resources.
  • Performing timely reconciliations regarding Net Asset Values and providing accounting reports.
  • Communicating transactions associated with the fund(s) and working closely with internal and external clients to provide accurate and thorough accounting packages.
  • Coordinating and supporting various year-end audit engagements in accordance with GAAP accounting standards.
  • Ensuring clients are in compliance with government laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the fund services industry, alternatives experience preferred.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
