We are a leading provider of technical workforce solutions, and this role will be a key part of our operations in Elk Grove Village, IL.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Improve productivity by reviewing and optimizing work processes.
  • Perform coldhead and compressor repairs to agreed daily schedules and performance standards.
  • Provide technical support to customers and work with them to resolve issues.
  • Conduct on-site maintenance and repairs.
  • Test SCAI cryogenic system components to agreed daily schedules and performance standards.
  • Manage receiving, shipping, and inventory control of SCAI cryogenic system components.
  • Document test packets properly and clearly.
  • Maintain SCAI shop equipment and ensure cleanliness.
  • Ensure compliance with SCAI Quality Management System and Safety Manual.
  • Work to improve cost effectiveness of SCAI processes and procedures.
  • Utilize a personal computer and related software in English.
  • Use and care for mechanical instruments and tools.

Requirements:

  • Possesses a working knowledge of cryo terminology, methods, practices, and techniques of both coldhead and compressor maintenance and repair.
  • Can read, write, verbalize, understand, and take orders in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of one year of sub-professional field and/or shop experience performing complex engineering assembly work.

Education/Training/Certification/License:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED, supplemented by college-level courses or equivalent vocational/technical institutional coursework in mathematics, engineering, and/or mechanical engineering.
  • Valid Driver's License required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to bend over while lifting heavy objects (minimum 55 pounds).
