Responsibilities:
Facilitates study groups focused on program course content
Provides individualized tutoring to nursing students
Assists students in applying knowledge of essential subjects to patient care scenarios, including anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, dosage calculations, client assessment techniques, and care planning.
Helps students access additional academic resources.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements
Identify the essential qualifications required to perform the key functions of this position.
Preferred or Specialized
Not necessary for performing the essential functions of the position.
Education:
Currently enrolled in a baccalaureate or master's degree nursing program.
Experience:
No prior experience required.
License(s)/Certification(s):
Valid driver's license required for work-related driving tasks.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to safely handle nursing and health sciences equipment. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential. Must demonstrate flexibility and provide exceptional customer service. Ability to organize tasks and work independently. Critical thinking, organizational skills, creativity, and basic computer skills are necessary.
Serves as a role model for peers in professional conduct and adherence to college policies.
Other:
Applicants must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Utilization of standard equipment necessary for performing essential job functions.
