Overview
In today's world, both residential and commercial establishments prioritize safety and effective responses to potential threats. Our Planned Security Services (PSS) division is seeking courteous and professional Private Security Officers to conduct regular patrols and safety inspections, manage gatehouse security, perform mobile patrols, oversee fire watch duties, and monitor control rooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine security and safety patrols of properties and structures to maintain order and establish a visible security presence.
- Verify and monitor access credentials of residents, guests, vendors, and deliveries.
- Ensure all exits, doors, and windows are secure and operational.
- Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to detect disturbances or illegal activities.
- Respond to, investigate, and evaluate alerts, communications, and alarms.
- Provide security assistance and support to residents, guests, and vendors as needed.
- Report unauthorized individuals, suspicious items, and any unlawful activities to the appropriate authorities.
- Prepare and submit daily surveillance and incident reports to Planned Security Services management.
- Must possess a New Jersey Security Officer Registration Act (SORA) license and a clean/valid driver's license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Officer or Guard.
- Familiarity with local, regional, and state legal regulations regarding security and public safety.
- Exceptional surveillance and observational skills.
- Experience with Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) surveillance systems.
- Training in First Aid, Basic Life Support (BLS), and self-defense.
- Strong report writing abilities and clear verbal communication skills.
- A High School diploma is required.
- Full-time employees (working 30 or more hours per week) are eligible for medical, dental, vision, and other ancillary benefits.
