Job Overview

The Landscape Maintenance Operator plays a crucial role in executing various tasks related to outdoor maintenance and construction projects. This position involves both physical labor and the operation of equipment to ensure that landscapes are well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage in a range of manual labor tasks associated with landscaping and construction.
  • Efficiently load and unload materials from trucks, ensuring proper handling and transportation.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any incidents as per company guidelines.
  • Utilize power mowers for turf cutting, and employ gas-powered edgers and blowers for trimming and cleaning.
  • Skillfully prune shrubs and small trees to enhance their growth and remove any damaged branches.
  • Perform various landscaping activities including laying sod, planting, mowing, trimming, digging, raking, and mulching.
  • Establish and maintain flower beds to enhance the visual appeal of the landscape.
  • Safely operate edgers and line trimmers around various obstacles such as sidewalks and flower beds.
  • Maintain cleanliness by picking up debris and leaves before mowing, and mulch organic matter during the mowing process.
  • Exhibit a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with clients.
  • Report any issues to the foreman or relevant personnel promptly.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Demonstrate physical stamina to lift heavy materials (50 lbs. or more) and perform various physical activities.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications:
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required for non-CDL drivers.
  • Willingness to undergo a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years old and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Prior experience in landscaping is preferred.
Employment Type:

This is a full-time position.

Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday from 6 AM to 3 PM
  • Weekend work may be required as necessary.
