About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Mount Sinai Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for operating nuclear lab equipment, educating patients and families, and performing procedures in accordance with all applicable policies and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all equipment is operating properly and perform quality control on imaging and non-imaging nuclear equipment.
  • Perform end-of-day surveys of areas, personnel monitoring for radiation, and take corrective actions if readings fall out of range.
  • Administer doses and perform calculations, conduct quality control procedures, and have a thorough knowledge of imaging technologies employed.
  • Perform imaging procedures assigned, prepare results for interpretations, and oversee stress tests.
  • Recognize malfunctioning equipment, perform minor troubleshooting, and resolve minor technical problems related to image quality and quantitative results.
  • Conduct wipe tests, surveys, and waste disposal as required.
  • Comply with Federal, State, and local requirements and regulatory agencies, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and observe safety procedures and testing.
Requirements
  • Associates Degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 1 year of clinical experience required.
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
