Job Summary

The Department of Athletics at Eastern Washington University is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of Sports Medicine. This key leadership role will oversee all aspects of health care services provided to EWU student-athletes, including athletic training services and sports medicine administrative operations.

The successful candidate will provide guidance and leadership to athletic trainers and other staff members, ensuring the health and safety of student-athletes in accordance with NATA, NCAA, Big Sky Conference, and Eastern Washington University regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate a sports medicine program that meets the needs of EWU student-athletes
  • Supervise athletic training services and oversee sports medicine administrative operations
  • Provide guidance and leadership to athletic trainers and other staff members
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory agencies and university policies
  • Develop and monitor program budget
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of insurance records and medical records
About the Position

This is a full-time, 12-month position that requires a high level of competence in sports medicine practices, protocols, and administration. The successful candidate will possess excellent organizational and administrative skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with a team.
