We're seeking a Wastewater Management Systems Technician to join our team in Middlebury, VT. This role requires a current Vermont Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator Certificate, Grade II or higher.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and optimizing plant performance, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining equipment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring plant parameters, including hydraulic flows, temperatures, pH, COD, VFA, pressures, and renewable power generation.
  • Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Managing inventory and supplies, including chemicals, reagents, and spare parts.
  • Overseeing biological processes, feedstock receiving, hydraulic pumping, and chemical feed systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and local wastewater permits, air quality permits, and solid waste permits.
  • Maintaining VT State Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator License and continuing education.

Requirements

  • Current Vermont Grade II Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator certificate (or higher).
  • Three years of relevant experience as an operator, in RNG, construction, and/or industrial maintenance.
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems and/or ability to assist/work on pumps, piping, electric motors, generators, instruments, and basic building maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Work Environment

  • This role is based in our Middlebury, VT facility but may require travel to other locations.
