Responsibilities:
* Stock Central Supply rooms with medical supplies and equipment.
* Prepare various items for sterilization and ensure proper packaging and distribution.
* Clean and maintain procedure rooms, including unloading supplies from the dock area and distributing them to the proper locations.
* Collect biohazardous waste and package it for disposal.
* Purchase supplies and maintain inventory.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Six months of Central Supply work experience preferred.
* Ability to lift 30 pounds unassisted.
* Basic computer knowledge.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Performance Requirements:
* Knowledge of medical terminology and organization services.
* Ability to use multi-line phone system and speak clearly and loudly enough to be heard by callers.
Equipment Operated:
* Standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, and telephones.
Work Environment:
* Standard office environment with occasional walking or standing.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
* Involves sitting approximately 50 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
