Job Overview
As a key member of the team reporting to the Application Engineering Manager, the Product Innovation Scientist will:
- Lead the creative development and implementation of fiber-based catalytic solutions through collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Engineering, and New Business Development teams.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in material selection, compatibility, performance characteristics, and suitability for applications, providing support to sales and other departments as necessary.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of in-reactor bed materials (including bed grading and guard beds) and catalytic products for Emission Control Technologies (such as SCR and VOCs) to define product design specifications.
- Manage product strategy and roadmap execution, ensuring that product developments align with revenue objectives.
- Drive the go-to-market strategy by researching and proposing new products and services or market opportunities that align with the corporate strategy.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to convert insights from market trends and customer feedback into a unique value proposition that enhances sales.
- Provide technical assistance, working closely with customers to identify specific technical needs, address installation challenges, and recommend suitable products that meet customer KPIs to facilitate sales.
- Prepare product specifications, cost assessments, and commercial proposals in collaboration with R&D and New Business Development teams.

Qualifications and Experience:
- A Master's or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical project leadership role focused on the development and commercialization of new catalytic products.
- A self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills, capable of understanding complex business challenges and translating them into actionable solutions based on quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- A robust technical background to foster innovation in catalytic products within the Oil and Gas sector.
- A solid commercial understanding, including the ability to recognize customer needs, propose solutions, build enduring relationships, and explore new markets or channels.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including both staff and management.
- Willingness to travel as required, potentially up to 20%.
