About the Role:

The SAS Health Care Center (HCC) is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, teach and counsel patients, and plan, implement, direct, and evaluate nursing care.

Responsibilities:

  • Check in patients, obtain vitals, and prepare patients for exams
  • Assist with medical procedures, such as suturing and biopsies, and patient exams
  • Perform routine procedures, such as injections, wound care, first aid, and uncomplicated suture removal
  • Provide evidence-based phone advice and follow established HCC procedures regarding prescription refills
  • Make referrals to community specialists and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Diploma, Associate Degree (AD), or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an NLN-accredited school of nursing
  • Current unrestricted North Carolina license to practice as a Registered Nurse
  • Typically requires six years of experience as a registered nurse, including two years of experience in a primary care office setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent knowledge of routine nursing procedures in a primary care office setting
  • Previous experience or passion for Family Practice
  • Excellent nursing skills, including history taking and triage
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Professional appearance and ability to provide a comfortable and reassuring atmosphere for patients
