Job Title: Certified Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team at OhioHealth. As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and prepare medications for patient use, taking into account patient age and relevant information.
  • Prepare IV medications using specialized equipment, supplies, and techniques for patient administration.
  • Process refill requests for non-monitored pharmacy medications, such as enteral products and respiratory medications.
  • Document medication distribution for proper use and reimbursement in accordance with department policy.
  • Participate in production, packaging, record-keeping, and stocking tasks.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team environment.
  • Adaptable and flexible.
Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing excellent patient care.
