About the Position

The Assistant Property Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our multifamily properties. This includes overseeing property maintenance and repairs, managing budgets, and scheduling. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advertising vacancies, showing properties to prospective tenants, and building strong relationships with current residents.
  • Overseeing property maintenance and repairs, including obtaining bids from vendors and evaluating their work.
  • Verifying renter income, preparing lease agreements, and maintaining related databases.
  • Collecting rent payments, issuing reminders as necessary, and escalating issues when required.
  • Creating organized systems for accurate record-keeping and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Inspecting property conditions, identifying issues, and reporting them promptly to management.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of conventional housing property management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of property management or real estate principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Bilingualism is highly desirable.
