Job Summary:

The Yard Jockey is a critical role within Paraco Gas Corp, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trucks within the production facility. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Truck Movement and Coordination: The Yard Jockey will be responsible for docking and repositioning trailers, moving semi-trailers within the cargo yard, and inspecting equipment to ensure smooth operation.
  • Equipment Maintenance: The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine checks on tractor and container equipment to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Customer Service: The Yard Jockey will provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all interactions are professional and courteous.
  • Documentation and Reporting: The candidate will be responsible for completing work-related documentation, such as bills of lading, and maintaining accurate records.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL Class A License: The successful candidate must hold a current valid CDL Class A license with Hazardous Materials (H) and Tank Vehicle (N) endorsements.
  • Safe Driving Record: A clean and safe driving record is essential, with full compliance with all DOT licensing requirements.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience with operating a switcher truck is preferred, but not required. The candidate must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions and have a strong team player mentality.
