Job Description

Ryder is seeking a dedicated SOLO Class A CDL Driver to join our team in Des Moines, WA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures

Compensation:

  • Ryder drivers are paid weekly
  • Hourly pay: $31.00 per hour
  • Hours per week: 50 or more hours per week
  • Per diem pay: $50.00 per night with 2-3 nights per week
  • Loyalty bonus: pays $1000 at 6 months and $1000 at 1 year anniversary

Route Information:

  • Deliver SOLO to: Seattle, Eastern WA, ID, and OR
  • Route: Regional
  • Tractor type: Sleeper dry vans
  • Trailer type: Dry van 28' and 48'
  • Equipment: Electric pallet jack
