About the Role:

University Hospitals seeks a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our Pain Management and Wound Clinics at UH Geneva Medical Center. As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and establish accurate diagnoses based on current scientific research and best practices.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring timely interventions and effective management of patient needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive, interdisciplinary care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients and their families.
  • Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures, utilizing technical skills and equipment specific to the clinical area.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, monitoring the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Contribute to the educational development of staff, patients, family, and self, promoting professional growth and advancement.
  • Demonstrate leadership and effective management, advancing own professional development through self-directed learning, continuing education, and participation in peer review.
  • Initiate and maintain positive relationships with patients/customers, co-workers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Takes responsibility for self-development, supporting a learning environment that fosters growth and excellence.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated competence as a practitioner, with effective oral and written communication skills.
  • A variety of technical patient care devices specific to the clinical area, including computers and selected office equipment.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Nursing Doctorate or Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice, or Physician Assistant: Completion of a formal Physician Assistant training from an accredited program with NCCPA certification.
  • Required Credentials, Licensure, or Certification: BLS required; ACLS preferred; Current Registered Nurse license to practice in Ohio; Current APRN license to practice in Ohio (for Nurse Practitioners), or BLS required; ACLS preferred; NCCPA-Certified; DEA license (for Physician Assistants).

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
