Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team at Sloan, a leading manufacturer of commercial plumbing systems. As a Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the effective utilization of people, materials, equipment, and manufacturing processes to meet safety, production schedule, quality, inventory, cost, and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, evaluate, and coach staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Perform continuous improvement activities aimed at enhancing safety, efficiency, quality, and costs.
- Prepare required reports and maintain data in SAP concerning department activities.
- Ensure conformance to safety rules and regulations, and employee rules of conduct.
- Review schedule for production needs and accuracy.
- Produce quality parts and finished goods that meet established quality standards.
- Ensure productivity targets are met and develop corrective action plans when needed.
- Engage with local suppliers to identify and remove operation barriers for standard and non-standard production processes.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or related education.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience.
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Working knowledge of material, tooling, machine tools, and manufacturing processes.
- Working knowledge of safety management processes.
