NOMS Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation department, you will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and administering occupational therapy modalities of treatment to patients with physical, emotional, or cognitive disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Comply with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records of patient progress.
- Administer treatments and occupational agents as prescribed by a licensed physician to restore function and prevent disability.
- Assist patients to reach their maximum performance and level of functioning, while promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
- Coordinate and supervise responsibilities assigned to support staff, including COTAs and Rehab Techs.
- Participate in operational aspects of the department, maintain performance improvement activities, and contribute to Quality Assurance initiatives.
- Provide input in formulating budget and assist in evaluating department performance versus budget controls.
- Participate in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs.
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Licensed in the State of Ohio.
- Current Occupational Therapy license in the State of Ohio.
Therapists may spend a lot of time on their feet while working with patients. May be required to lift and move patients or heavy equipment. Many work in multiple facilities and have to travel from one job to another. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases.
Physical/Mental Demands:Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 10 pounds.
