APQP Project Lead Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to lead program management initiatives from prototype to production in an automotive manufacturing environment. As an APQP Project Lead Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of program management, including prototype development, production launch, and customer support. You will manage engineering changes, resolve quality concerns, and maintain up-to-date documentation. You will also coordinate communication between production, quality, engineering, and tool room departments and act as the primary point of contact for customers, offering technical support and tracking correspondence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of program management from prototype to production
- Management of engineering changes and quality control
- Documentation maintenance and revision control
- Communication coordination with various departments
- Customer support and technical assistance
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Design, or Industrial Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, tooling, or program management; 5+ years in a supervisory role in manufacturing, preferably automotive. Knowledge in SPC, DFMEA/PFMEA, GD&T, APQP, PPAP, and problem-solving methodologies. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in documentation. Willingness to travel as needed.
Salary Estimate: $140,000 - $170,000 per year.
