Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring smooth communication and project coordination.
- Plan, organize, and execute projects related to Fixed Finishes and Furnishings, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, providing cost-effective solutions within client allowances.
- Sourcing and curating finishes and furnishings to meet the project's design vision, timeline, and budget constraints.
- Lead design presentations with confidence and clarity, articulating design concepts to clients and stakeholders.
- Coordinate specifications & budgets for purchasing, oversee project delivery and installation, ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Produce comprehensive Construction Documents, including finish plans, elevations, and detailed interior drawings.
- Conduct on-site construction visits to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Foster and maintain strong relationships with builders and vendors to ensure the best outcomes for all parties.
- Refine and evolve design standards, processes, and best practices for the design team.
- Mentor Junior Designers and Interns, providing guidance and feedback on project deliverables.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from a CIDA accredited institution (required).
- NCIDQ certification is preferred but not required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in high-end residential or hospitality design.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and consultants.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, with knowledge of Mac OS being a plus.
- Strong experience in furniture selections, fixed finishes, and construction drawings.
- Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and adjust to dynamic schedules.
- Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written, and visual) to collaborate effectively with team members, clients, vendors, architects, and contractors.
- A collaborative attitude combined with leadership skills and a desire to mentor junior designers.
- High level of integrity, a solutions-driven mindset, and commitment to professional growth.
- Self-motivated, with an ability to manage tasks independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
- Reliable transportation is a must for site visits and meetings.
