Position Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, overseeing financial reporting, and assisting with audits and tax filings. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles, experience in a publicly traded company, and exceptional analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monthly and quarterly financial closing processes, ensuring timely and precise financial reporting.
  • Examine and reconcile general ledger accounts, confirming that all transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Compile financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, while providing comprehensive analysis of variances.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly and annual tax returns, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Assist with external audit processes by supplying necessary documentation and clarifications regarding financial transactions and supporting schedules.
  • Establish and uphold accounting policies and procedures to guarantee compliance with accounting standards and regulatory mandates.
  • Offer guidance and support to accounting personnel, facilitating training and development as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to enhance business initiatives and streamline processes.
  • Execute additional accounting tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, ideally within the manufacturing sector of a public company.
  • In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong emphasis on accuracy and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and various accounting software applications; familiarity with SAP and HFM is highly desirable.
