Job SummaryThe Senior Tax Accountant will play a critical role in ensuring the company's compliance with tax regulations and financial reporting requirements. This position will be responsible for preparing and filing various tax returns, including sales and use tax returns, bank compliance reports, and government reports.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and file sales and use tax returns, bank compliance reports, and government reports
- Ensure compliance with sales and use tax reporting, corporate tax requirements, and state nexus reporting
- Handle sales and use tax audits, audit defense documentation, and preparation of international entity monthly financials
- Ownership for various asset, liability, and expense general ledger accounts, including balance verification, analysis, and preparation of journal entries
- Assist with month-end/quarter-end/year-end general ledger account close activities, including production close, journal entries, and bank reconciliation
- Analyze financial reporting for management and perform all fixed asset accounting in FAS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years related experience, with CMA or CPA preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience and demonstrated knowledge/experience with accounting and GAAP
- Proven analytical ability, strong attention to detail, and self-initiator, team player, effective communicator, with a customer focus
The Senior Tax Accountant will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a low noise level in a temperature-controlled setting. Some level of domestic and/or international travel may be required, and the position may involve working remotely.
CompensationThe salary for this position is $80,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience.
