Job Title: CNC Machinist Programmer

Job Summary:

Czar Inc is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Programmer to join our team. As a CNC Machinist Programmer, you will be responsible for creating instructions for machinists, reviewing 3D CAD design blueprints and shop drawings, and translating instructions into a computer automated manufacturing program.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement CNC programs for machining operations
  • Review and analyze 3D CAD design blueprints and shop drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility
  • Collaborate with machinists to develop and implement efficient machining processes
  • Conduct simulations and tests to ensure program accuracy and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain geometric layouts of designs using proper software
  • Determine sequence of operations in a program and choose cutting tools
  • Analyze job orders and perform necessary calculations to optimize machining processes
  • Write and modify programs to increase efficiency and productivity
  • Analyze and select speeds and cutting tools for programs
  • Make improvements to set up times for tasks and contouring of complex shapes
  • Simplify tooling times for workers and increase productivity for clients
  • Evaluate all completed designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfully reduce time and money for the client
  • Monitor all programs to ensure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task
  • Comply with all safety rules and regulations

Qualifications:

  • Experience with 3 and 5 axis CNC mills
  • Familiarity with WoodWop 7
  • Familiarity with both Biesse and Homag/Weeke
  • Familiarity with the following operating systems: B Solid, Cabinet Vision, Mozaic
  • Superior computer programming skills
  • Excellent reading comprehension skills
  • Good Math skills, especially algebra, trigonometry and physics
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Strong Attention to detail
  • Ability to write and read complex spreadsheets
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Capable of standing for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds for short periods of time
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed
