  • Ensure adherence to educational standards while promoting the philosophy of Dr. Maria Montessori.

Qualifications

  • Montessori certification or a strong desire to pursue certification.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or a related field.
  • Preferred: Valid teaching certification for the state of Michigan (if applicable).
Professional Expectations

The Lead Guide is responsible for:

  • Implementing educational and administrative policies effectively within the classroom.
  • Maintaining open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and well-being.
  • Engaging in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practices.
Classroom Management

In this role, the Lead Guide will:

  • Keep accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Support and mentor classroom assistants and student teachers.
  • Promote a peaceful and respectful classroom atmosphere.
