Job Summary:The ICU Nurse Traveler will be responsible for providing direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients. This is a 13-week contract with 48 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, and a competitive pay package.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including vital signs, medical history, and laboratory results.
- Develop and implement education plans for patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care.
- 1-2 years of recent experience in ICU nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the state of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
