Job Title: Lead Programmer

Guidehouse is seeking a highly skilled Lead Programmer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

Job Summary:

The Lead Programmer will lead the development of software applications using semantic web technology and SPARQL. You will work closely with our data transformation team to develop and implement transformational metadata crosswalks and pipelines. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting QA of metadata and interfaces, developing programmatic access points for ingesting and exporting collection metadata, and designing and implementing extensions into existing discovery systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop software applications using semantic web technology and SPARQL
  • Develop and implement transformational metadata crosswalks and pipelines
  • Conduct QA of metadata and interfaces
  • Develop programmatic access points for ingesting and exporting collection metadata
  • Design and implement extensions into existing discovery systems
  • Develop additional enhancements for GUI search that retrieves data from the RDF triplestore and allows users to enter their own SPARQL queries
  • Implement development and QA systems
  • Lead preparation of all documents associated with ATO compliance
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree or relevant experience
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in computer programming, information technology, data processing, management information systems, and statistics
  • Expert knowledge of semantic web technology and SPARQL
  • Experience with AWS
  • Demonstrated experience leading technology implementations/transformations
  • Strong analysis and communication skills
  • Expert knowledge of Agile development methodology and use of Jira
