About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and professional educator to lead our Before & After Care program for our K-5th school-age programs. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing a safe, engaging, and educational environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fun and engaging activities for children outside of their school requirements
  • Transport elementary-aged children to and from their public elementary school
  • Provide educational support to elementary children via homework help and assistance with schoolwork
  • Supervise children to ensure their health, welfare, and safety
  • Lead the before & after care team and demonstrate effective leadership skills
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues, and community
  • Manage the before & after care program to foster a consistent, safe, and positive environment
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in a school-age program
  • MSDE 45hr School Age certification
  • Clean driving record
  • Excellent understanding of child development and teaching methods
  • Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations
  • A warm, friendly, and cool-tempered demeanor
  • Proficient technological skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Team-oriented and willing to work with others
