Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wealth Strategist to join our team at City National Bank. As a key member of our wealth planning team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive wealth assessments and financial planning services to our high net worth clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with senior investment consultants and financial advisors to provide comprehensive wealth assessments and financial planning services to high net worth clients.
  • Travel to public speaking engagements and client meetings to present financial planning strategies and solutions.
  • Develop and implement financial plans and models to help clients achieve their financial goals.
  • Stay up-to-date on legislative and tax changes that may impact our clients' financial situations.
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver integrated planning services to clients.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field (JD, CPA, CFA, or Masters in Tax/Accounting/Business).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in financial planning or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in banking, brokerage, or insurance culture.
  • CFP certification or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel 20-50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrable expertise in multiple areas of wealth planning, including estate, gift, and capital gains tax mitigation, asset protection, philanthropy, and life insurance.
  • Experience with financial modeling systems, such as eMoney, Money Guide Pro NaviPlan, or WealthStation.
  • Advanced Excel skills and ability to create complex financial models.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and ability to use it to manage client relationships and data.
