Neurosurgery Nurse Practitioner

The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, providing inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. This role requires a Master's Degree in Nursing, licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner, and BCLS Certification. The ideal candidate will have 2 years of APP experience, with a preference for experience working as an APP in Neuroscience for at least one year.
Responsibilities- Assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first-line provider to patients and their families.
- Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Specific procedures as per credentialing, as indicated by training and experience.
- Master's Degree in Nursing
- Licensure as Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Licensure as Registered Nurse
- BCLS Certification
- 2 years APP experience
- Experience working as an APP in Neuroscience for at least one year (preferred)
This role will primarily work at Lakeside Medical Center, with some time split at West Bloomfield Hospital. The ideal candidate will be able to work as a team concurrently with a physician, but also work independently running an APP clinic.
